The Division 19 “Discussion” listserv has taken a new direction and is now open broadly to anyone with a professional interest in military psychology. We welcome you to join by clicking this link http://lists.apa.org/cgi-bin/wa.exe?SUBED1=DIV19DISC&A=1 and ask that you invite any mental health researcher or clinician, lawyers/law enforcement, teachers, business owners, consults, etc. The objective is to increase understanding of military psychology in the general population. There have been multiple studies showing that most non-military citizens have low military cultural competency. Let's help change that, and in the information sharing process we will learn more about ourselves as well!
You can email out this short invite to your colleagues or post it on your social media profile. APA Division 19, Society for Military Psychology is opening up their "Discussion" listserv to anyone interested. If you have questions about best practices in clinical care, research, leadership development, organizational performance, education or just about anything else to do with military service members and/or veterans , then sign up here http://lists.apa.org/cgi-bin/wa.exe?SUBED1=DIV19DISC&A=1. No obligation, membership, or fees required! Very respectfully, Brian Lees, PsyD, ABPP Division 19 Communications Committee Chair
