The APPIC-Training Communities CoA Nominations Committee (ATCCNC) is soliciting nominations for candidates for the APA Commission on Accreditation.

Division 19 is specifically identified as a community of interest so I’m writing to ask you to please consider if any of your members would be a good fit for the Commission. This year, we will consider individuals representing BOTH the internship level of training and the postdoctoral level of training. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

The nominee must have a doctoral degree in professional psychology (i.e. clinical, counseling, school, combined or developed practice area as accredited by APA CoA).
The nominee must have a minimum of five years of experience employed at an internship training OR a postdoctoral training site that is a member of a formal training group such as ACCTA, VA, or APPIC.

The nominee has contributed significantly to his/her internship/postdoc program’s APA self-study and site visit process.
Special consideration is given to internship training directors, postdoctoral training directors, chief psychologists and department chairs with prior experience as a site visitor.
Qualities such as leadership, ethical responsibility, conscientiousness, fairness, and working well in groups will be strongly considered.
Nominees should “…reflect individual and cultural diversity and the breadth of psychology as a discipline.”

Preference will be given to current and past ACCTA, APPCN, VA Psychology, APAHC, or APPIC Board members who meet the above criteria.

Attached ("Info 4 Prospective CoA Members") is an information sheet for prospective CoA members. Nominations are due to the nominating committee by July 13, 2018 and should include a Curriculum Vitae and a brief statement regarding interest and qualifications for serving on CoA.

Please indicate if you are submitting a nomination for the internship OR postdoctoral position and submit the nomination materials (with CoA Nomination in the subject line) to APPIC at jeffbaker@appic.org. Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance. We hope you will consider submitting nominations.

Thanks,
Allison C. Aosved
APPIC Board Member
Chair, APPIC-Training Communities CoA Nominations Committee (ATCCNC)
