Call for Nominations

1/20/2021

Dear Colleagues,

Every year, the Society for Military Psychology’s Elections Committee asks its members to participate in
the democratic process. We ask some to volunteer and run for office. We ask all who are eligible to
participate in our Society’s governance by voting. Both acts ensure the strength of our Society now and
in the future.

The Elections Committee is now accepting nominations for the positions of President-Elect, APA Council
Representative, Member-at-Large, and for the first time, Student Member-at-Large. We must have at
least two candidates for APA Council Representative. Information about each position is available in the
attached document. You are also encouraged to reach out to the current incumbents of these positions
if you have any questions.

Please send your nominations to div19.elections@gmail.com by 8 Feb 2021. Nominations should include the
individual’s name, e-mail address, phone number, and the position for which they are being nominated.
We ask that before you nominate someone for a position, you confirm their interest in the position.
Self-nominations are welcome.  If you have questions about eligibility or the nomination process, please
contact any member of the Elections Committee.

We also ask all members to ensure their 2021 dues are paid in order to receive a voting ballot from APA.
Thanks for participating in the democratic process and ensuring our Society has strong leadership for the
future.

Best regards,

Society for Military Psychology Elections Committee

Tatana Olson, President-Elect
Bruce Crow, Member-at-Large
Emily Grieser, Member-at-Large
Scott Johnston, Member-at-Large
