Call for Papers for Ex-Military Experience Symposium in 2020 Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting: DEADLINE 23 NOV 19
Division 19 received the following direct invitation from the Academy of Management Annual Meeting's organizers, which we support of our members pursuing. As with many such opportunities it will extend the reach and influence of military psychology.
"We are in the process of organizing a presenter symposium for the Academy of Management (AOM)'s 2020 annual meeting which relates to ex-military corporate leaders such as CEOs, top managers, and Board of Directors. Specifically, we are interested in how the military experience of such firm managers may shape organizational outcomes or strategic decisions. In collaboration with Gerog Wernicke (HEC Paris) we are inviting unpublished papers that may fit the theme of this session. We're especially interested in research relating to how ex-military experience shapes personal cognition or may serve to imprint onto a person values that influence firm outcomes. Thus, for the purposes of this session, we are looking for papers (either empirical or conceptual papers) that may contribute to the theme of the session.
If you're interested in contributing to this session, we would appreciate an abstract (500 words max) of your current work for our consideration. Kindly email your submissions by the 23rd November 2019, to either Anthony Kim (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Eugene See (email@example.com).
On behalf of the organizers,
Georg Wernicke, Yeongsu (Anthony) Kim, Eugene See & Daniel Peat"
