Future Directions in Management Sciences for DoD Science & Technology Management workshop October 23-24 in Arlington, VA

The DOD is hosting a 2-day workshop on October 23-24 in Arlington, VA, which will gather distinguished academic and industry researchers along with DoD management officials to: 
  • Identify management, information, and operations challenges the DoD is likely to face over the next two decade.
  • Identify future trajectories in management science and information science likely to be relevant to these future DoD challenge.
  • Develop an integrated roadmap for research in management sciences which can inform future efforts to improve the Department’s technology management processes.
The anticipated DoD challenge areas include budget/programming, joint integration, S&T acquisition, supply chain risk mitigation, R&D portfolio management, and cybersecurity infrastructure. To address these challenges, working groups will discuss the opportunities presented by research in large-scale systems change management, R&D/innovation management, cyberinfrastructure, data analytics management, stakeholder alignment in complex systems, social psychology of culture, identity and conflict, as well as the science of teams.


 Psychologists with research expertise in this area are encouraged to attend. Registration Page (use password: BRICC2018).
