USSOCOM is looking to mobilize a USAR or NG 73B for 1 yr, with the option of extending up to 3, with a tentative start date of 01OCT20. The start date is negotiable for the right applicant. Primary duty location is MacDill AFB Tampa, FL.
Duties include: Performs direct and consultative clinical psychology services to support HQ USSOCOM, SOCOM component units (including Guard and Reserve members), and USSOCOM Care Coalition. Provide clinical psychology services to include individual and couples psychotherapy services to support Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) personnel returning from Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom’s Sentinel, as well as other OCONUS and CONUS-based activities. Additionally, provides the same services to other service members and their eligible family members. MUST be trained and experienced in providing evidence-based psychotherapy services as per DoD/VA Clinical Practice Guidelines (e.g. CPT, PE). Provide psychological testing and clinical interviews for HQ's USSOCOM members seeking special duty assignment (i.e. recruiter, sniper) and command directed mental health evaluations. TDY to the component units to provide clinical services as needed to support embedded psychological assets. Prefer applicants with previous combat deployment experience and experience with SOF behavioral health but those without previous SOF experience will be considered.
