The Division 19 Program Committee is excited to share the read-ahead for this year’s amazing, virtual programming! Please note, registration for Division 19’s free, live programming (https://forms.gle/4trdNZSKyVsTYSZB6) is separate from the APA 2020’s main registration (https://convention.apa.org). We encourage you all to register for both! Remember, the programming on APA’s 2020 convention platform includes live mainstage and keynote presentations, 3 free ethics CEs, and one-year access to pre-recorded Division 19 content as well as content across the other APA divisions. Be sure to follow Division 19 on Twitter (@APADiv19) and Facebook (APA Division 19 – Military Psychology) for the latest convention updates!
The APA 2020 Virtual Division 19 Program Committee is excited to share this year’s program highlights. **Please note all times listed reflect Eastern Time Zone.** Division 19 will offer both live, virtual presentations that will be held during the convention week (August 6th-9th) and on demand presentations (available to APA attendees from August 2020-August 2021). We want to send a special shout out to the Division 19 presenters for their flexibility and willingness to adapt to the change in format.
The live, virtual presentations will offer attendees access to full length symposia, top division posters, and Division 19 business meeting and award reception. As an added bonus, most of the Division 19 live, virtual symposia will offer the option of free CE credits to attendees.
On demand sessions will be available for attendees to access anytime, beginning on August 6, 2020 through August 1, 2021. A unique advantage of the on demand format is that attendees will be able to view many more sessions than they otherwise might have been able to attend in person. I think we have all had to make a difficult decision, choosing between two (or more!) interesting presentations during in person conventions. This year’s new format will allow attendees access to all sessions from all divisions, as well as poster sessions. You can expect that on the demand sessions will be briefer than they would be in-person, but they are sure to be just as impactful.
Reminder: APA 2020 Virtual fees have been cut by as much as 85% to make the convention as widely accessible as possible:
- $50 for APA members/fellows/associates, APA community college affiliates, and APA international affiliates
- $15 for APA student affiliates (APAGS) and APA high school affiliates (TOPSS)
- $75 for nonmembers of APA
Registration for APA 2020 Virtual is now open at https://convention.apa.org/
