Division 19 Continuing Education Committee
Goals Related to Doctoral- Psychologists and Students in Psychology
The Society for Military Psychology is one of the original 19 charter divisions established by the APA (APA Division 19) in 1945. The Society for Military Psychology seeks to serve as the premier organization for military psychology. The Division 19 Continuing Education Committee (Div. 19 CEC) is among the standing committees in Division 19, and it is responsible for developing policy and program recommendations for the Society’s continuing professional education program and for working collaboratively with the APA Office of Continuing Education Sponsor Approval to implement this policy and program recommendations. The Div. 19 CEC goals related to doctoral-level psychologists and students in psychology are:
- Facilitate the development and implementation of CE opportunities for doctoral-level military and civilian psychologists serving on any component of the U.S Department of Defense and seeking CE credits to renew their psychology license.
- The development of high-quality APA preconvention CE opportunities for doctoral-level psychologists, undergraduate and graduate students in psychology with emphasis on military psychology topics.
- The development of high-quality CE programs schedule outside APA annual meetings with an emphasis on military psychology for doctoral-level psychologists, and undergraduate and graduate students in psychology.
